Not only was Victor Hugo's Notre Dame de Paris a success when it was written, and now considered a classic, it also inspired an interest in Notre Dame itself that lead to the building's restoration - definitely a bonus!! Although I loved Hugo's Les Misrables, I wasn't quite so fond of this book - you can read a few more of my thoughts on the novel. There was a Disney adaptation of the book, but it's not even close enough in terms of plot to discuss in this section! However, you can find out more about the history of the musical.

I've got French, English and Italian recordings of this show for now, but I definitely listen to the French one the most. Take a look at my reviews of the CDs, or listen to clips from the various recordings.

There's also DVDs available of both the French and Italian productions, but I haven't seen them yet - I'll add my thoughts here when I do.

I was living in New York when this show played in Ottawa, and then I had big plans to go to Las Vegas to see the production there, but unfortunately it closed before I had the chance! I did finally get to see it though, in London instead! Read more of my thoughts on that particular performance.

I could have a lot of fun casting a Broadway production of this show - until they let me do that, take a look at my thoughts on some of my favourite performers who have already been in the show!

Once you're done looking around here, check out some of the other Notre Dame de Paris websites that are out there, or download a Notre Dame de Paris wallpaper for your computer!
