It's always hard to give a concise synopsis of this show. So I'm not going to try. :-) Read the complete synopsis instead. You can also read it in French.

Or, if that's not enough, take a look through the libretto, or browse through the translated French lyrics, or the German lyrics. You can also check out the lyrics from the French concept album.

This is a story that is familiar to most people in some form or another. Take a look at some of my thoughts about the Victor Hugo novel or films that have been made on the subject.

Les Misrables is easily one of the most successful shows of all time, with almost universal appeal. Read more about the development of the show.

For a bit more information on the original casts in some of the many locations this show has been put on, take a look at my productions section.

This is the show that I have the most recordings of! Read my reviews of some English recordings and some French recordings. Or, listen to a clip from my all-time favourite moment.

If you want to play or sing the music for yourself, there is also sheet music available.

I've seen this show a total of 11 times so far, but most of those were the same production - the 1998 Toronto cast, which was really amazing. I finally saw the Broadway production just before it closed, and I've also seen it in German! You can read about all of my experiences with the show.

Part of what makes any performance of this show great are the actors who play the roles. Find out about a few of my favourite performers that have been in this show.

Once you're done looking around here, check out some of the other fantastic Les Misrables sites that are out there, or get a great-looking Les Mis wallpaper or some Les Mis icons for your computer.
