Original Swedish Cast. I was interested in this recording primarily because I love Chess, and I was hoping this would be something along those lines. I can say most definitely that it is NOTHING like Chess. :-) However, it is fantastic. It has a grand sweeping score, that is almost more operatic than anything else. The orchestrations are rich and beautiful, and the cast, none of whom I was familiar with before, are fabulous. Add to that the great story, and you've got a show that I'm dying to see, and a recording that I listen to pretty often, even though the first time I listened to it was the first time in my life I'd ever heard Swedish! :-)
