Original Broadway Cast. If I had to choose one word to describe this recording, it would be "infectious". It isn't trying to be anything but fun, and at that it succeeds! The songs all have a familiar sound to them, which makes it easy to listen to, and will probably bring a little bit of nostalgia to anyone who lived through the early '60s! The cast is universally perfect for their roles, there's not much more that can be said about that. My favourite songs include "Good Morning, Baltimore", "Mama, I'm a Big Girl Now", and "Can't Stop the Beat" (I have a very tough time listening to the last two without wanting to dance!). This is one recording that I play a lot!
