The setting is Sheffield England, once the "City of Steel", now home to a declining industry and unemployment. A group of men hit on an idea to raise money by putting on a strip show - though they can't dance, and aren't much to look at. Read more about the film.

After a tryout run in San Diego, The Full Monty opened on Broadway in October of 2000. Find out more about the development of the musical.


There are only two recordings of this show available so far - that I'm aware of - from Broadway, and from Barcelona. Read my reviews of the CDs, or listen to a clip from one of my favourite songs from the show.

I didn't manage to see The Full Monty on Broadway - very remiss of me, I know - but I did catch the tour when it stopped off in Toronto! And that was more than enough to make me a fan of the show!
