![]() Fosse at the Broadhurst Theatre in New York | This show was the product of so many people...the credits page in the playbill looks like a phone book. But the end result is amazingly cohesive and structured, and is a very enjoyable evening at the theatre.
After a run in Toronto, Fosse opened on Broadway on January 14, 1999 at the Broadhurst Theatre. It was nominated for 8 Tony Awards, and came away with 3, for Best Lighting (Andrew Bridge), Best Orchestrations (Doug Besterman and Ralph Burns), and the big one, Best Musical. The New York production closed on August 25, 2001. The show has also played in London, the Netherlands, and France, among others. A national tour can still be seen in the U.S., and there are other productions currently being mounted worldwide. Visit the Fosse Website for up-to-date listings. |
