Dirty Rotten Scoundrels had its world premiere at the Old Globe Theatre in San Diego, California from September 15 through November 7, 2004. The show began previews on Broadway on January 31, 2005, and had its official opening on March 3, 2005 at the Imperial Theatre in New York City. The production was nominated for 11 Tony Awards, and won one, for Best Actor (Norbert Leo Butz).
