Original Broadway Cast. This recording is nearly as much fun as the show was! Although some numbers ("All About Ruprecht", for example), are by nature funnier with the visual, they can still be enjoyed even if you haven't seen it. All of the music is here, and the cast gives great performances. Norbert Leo Butz is still the standout, even without the benefit of all his physical comedy. John Lithgow's "warning" on the CD made me laugh out loud. The music is extremely catchy, the orchestrations are quirky and fun, just like many of the lyrics, and the quality is great. If you're looking for a fun new show to enjoy, you've found it!
