Norbert Leo ButzNorbert Leo Butz. As Freddy, the lowbrow con artist, Norbert absolutely runs away with this show. He is "so deliciously low", as they say, and so completely earnest about it, that you can't help but being charmed by him. Add to that his fantastic voice and a true gift for physical comedy, and he is just a star! Check out Norbert Leo Butz Online for more info.
John Lithgow. I had seen John in Sweet Smell of Success as well, but his character here is definitely more likeable, despite being a con artist. :-) A very versatile actor, known for movies, TV and theatre, it was still easy to buy into the illusion of him as Lawrence, which is always the sign of a great actor. Read through his Internet Movie Database listing for more. John Lithgow
Sherie Rene ScottSherie Rene Scott. Sherie is blessed with one of the best voices out there, one that seems to be completely effortless, easy to understand, and wonderful to listen to. She also has a real gift for comedy, which she uses to great effect in this show. Her first number, "Here I Am", is a ball. Find out more about her at the Sh-k-boom Records site.
Joanna Gleason. I was thrilled to see Joanna on stage. She has a wonderful way of interpreting a lyric that works perfectly with David Yazbek's way of throwing ludicrous lyrics into traditional songs. Her scenes with Gregory Jbara were delightful, and her self-appointed art tour guide was hysterical, as were her occasional asides. To learn more, you can visit Joanna Gleason.com. Joanna Gleason
Gregory JbaraGregory Jbara. The one lead that I wasn't terribly familiar with before, Gregory's Andre quickly won me over. As a sidekick to Lawrence, he's great, but it was his scenes with Joanna Gleason that he really comes into his own, and takes the audience along for the ride. Take a trip to Gregory Jbara's official site to learn more.
