I had just seen Phantom in May, and had fallen in love with musical theatre. So I resolved to see the next show that came my way, no matter what it was. As luck would have it, it was Cats.

Not really knowing anything about the show before I went in, except, of course, for "Memory", it was a bit of a change from the plot-driven show that Phantom is. But once I got used to that, I enjoyed this quite a bit! The dancing is absolutely amazing...how they can do all that and sing at the same time is really beyond me! My friend Kaela who went with me was into dance herself, and actually enjoyed this more than Phantom!

I really loved the set, and the way the actors interact with the audience...it scared me the first time they walked down the aisle though! :-) My favourite scenes would have to include "Rum Tum Tugger", "Mungojerrie and Rumpleteazer" (that cartwheel thing is just too cool!), "Mr. Mistoffelees", and, of course, "Memory". Despite all the times I'd heard that song before, I still got chills listening to it live in a theatre.

The Quotes:

"Are you a little excited?"
The usher, who came to open the door an hour before the show...
I was already standing there :-)

"You wouldn't be doing this at Phantom, would you?"
"No, I'd still be crying in a corner somewhere"
My mom and I, sitting on the lawn of the Jubilee at intermission, eating ice cream
