David Shannon David Shannon. We're supposed to root for this character, and I think the actor could easily just step back and let that do all the work. But David adds more than that, so that John is not just the typical underdog, but a much more three-dimensional person. I also really enjoy his voice! I never got to see him in this show, but I did see him in Notre Dame de Paris, and he was great in that too! For more about David, visit David Shannon Online.

Josie Walker. She does a really wonderful job as Mary! Even on the recording, she exudes emotion, and to see her on stage was so great. She draws you into the character so that you see the story through her eyes, and she goes from one emotion to another in such a short period of time without ever losing the feeling of reality. I thought she was wonderful! You can find more at this Josie Walker tribute page.Josie Walker

Ben Goddard Ben Goddard. He's Del on the recording, but I saw him on stage as John. I was a little disappointed not to see David Shannon, but there was nothing to complain about with Ben! He did so many little things that made the character come alive for me, and he was so convincing at the end, it was scary! To talk with other Ben fans, visit the Ben Goddard mailing list.

Hannah Waddingham. She absolutely blew me away on stage as Christine. Not only is she a great actress, but when she opened her mouth, the entire theatre was captivated. Her rendition of "Our Kind of Love" was definitely one of the highlights of the evening!Hannah Waddingham
