This is one of those rare shows with no real source material, other than being loosely based on the perennial children's show Sesame Street, and, of course, being firmly rooted in real life! The show opened off-Broadway, where it was extended time after time, before moving to Broadway. Read more about the development of the musical.

The only recording of this show so far is the Broadway cast, which is a lot of fun! Read my review of the CD, or listen to a clip from one of my favourite songs.

This show was high on my list of things I wanted to see in New York in May of 2004, but it just didn't work out that I was able to. And I didn't get the chance to go see it until two years later! But at least I did finally see it, and it was definitely still worth going to see! Read more about my experience.

I've discovered quite a few fantastic new performers through this show, and I'm sure the list would only grow if I saw it on stage. Take a look at some of my favourites.

Once you're done looking around here, check out some of the other Avenue Q sites that are out there.
