The Original London Cast recording. As I said, since there's nothing to compare it to, this review will be pretty brief. I really enjoy a lot of things on here, especially the orchestrations. They are just wonderful, and because of that, the orchestral interludes are some of my favourite parts! I love how certain themes are re-introduced throughout the show...it gives it continuity and unity. The performances on here are really good as well. Michael Ball is perfect as Alex...I can't imagine anyone playing the role better. Ann Crumb is good as Rose. All the smaller characters sound exactly like they should. Overall, I just love it! It is probably my favourite Lloyd Webber score.
