![]() | Sherie Rene Scott. I knew Sherie from Aida, where she plays a slightly different part from Cathy. :-) But she is able to use the same gift for bringing us inside the character, to make us really understand Cathy's point of view, as well as allowing us to see her weaknesses and failings. One of the successes of the show in general is that you really are able to see both sides of the relationship, and I think Sherie plays a big part in that! Find out more about her at the Sh-k-boom Records site. |
Norbert Leo Butz. I knew Norbert from Cabaret, and again, a slightly different part here. :-) He is really fabulous on this recording, from great romantic and sweet stuff like the Schmuel song (I just love that song!), to comedy like "A Miracle Would Happen", to the really, really touching ending. He definitely has a new fan in me! Learn more at Norbert Leo Butz Online. | ![]() |

After seeing him in this show though, I definitely count myself a fan now! He is just perfect as Jamie, whether it's the youthful exuberance at the beginning, the beautiful sweetness of the proposal, or the frustration of the ending, he hits them all exactly right. I can't imagine it much better! Visit the East Village Opera Company site for much more! |
Blythe Wilson. I saw Blythe as Cathy three times, and each time I noticed new things about her performance. In a way, I think it's harder for the actress playing Cathy, to do the reverse progression, but Blythe did it wonderfully. She has a fantastic voice, and her chemistry with Tyley when they actually did interact in the show was wonderful. I'm looking forward to seeing a lot more of her! | ![]() |
