A review of the Berlin cast recording, and some new favourite performers!

The young D'Artagnan dreams of becoming one of the King's musketeers, just like his father. But along the way, he is caught up in a plot involving a powerful Cardinal, the Queen of France, a diamond, and warring religious sides. Read the complete synopsis.

Alexandre Dumas' story of 17th century Paris is one of those rare novels that is an ingrained part of the public consciousness. Even if you've never read the book, you have likely seen a film, play, or are at least aware of it. This stage version is one of several that have been made over the years. Read a bit more about the novel, or read a bit about the development of the musical.

I've got two recordings of this show so far, both of which I really enjoy. There's also a DVD of the show, but I haven't been able to see that yet, unfortunately! When I do, I will add my thoughts on it here. In the meantime, read my reviews of the CDs, or listen to a clip from one of my favourite songs.

I didn't get to the Netherlands while this show was running, so I haven't seen it yet! And I'm very disappointed to have missed that cast. :-( But I'm hopeful about seeing it in Stuttgart this fall, so if I do, I'll be sure to add my thoughts about it here.

Since I haven't seen the show yet, all my favourite performers come from the recording - take a look at my thoughts on some of them.

Once you're done looking around here, check out some of the other 3 Musketiers websites that are out there.
