The nature of this show means that I don't have that many favourite performers from this show. :-) But here they are anyway!

Bernadette Peters. My mother tells me there was a never a time when she didn't know who Bernadette Peters was. But I remember clearly "discovering" her on the cast recording of this show. I thought she could do no wrong, and everything I've seen in her since has convinced me that's a pretty fair assessment. She is wonderful as Emma. Marti Webb. Her take on the "English girl" is quite different from the one taken by Bernadette. Marti comes across as a little older, a little more sophisticated, but just as likeable. She breaks my heart with her rendition of "Tell Me on a Sunday".
