Even if you've never seen this movie, you have to be aware of it, as it is continually referenced in other films, TV shows, books, etc. The very definition of the term "cult classic", the original reaction to the film when it was released was pretty subdued, but over the years, it has gained a larger and larger following, becoming the hit that it is today.

I didn't see the movie until I was in university, and it was shown one night in our residence restaurant. "Odd" was the best word I can think of to describe, but whether you like it or not, you'll probably never forget it!

The Rocky Horror Picture Show has been shown continually in theaters since its release in 1975. This makes it the longest theatrical run in history.

A DVD version was released for the 25th anniversary, and includes many special features, like deleted scenes, alternate takes, and a documentary on the film.
