This performance had basically the same cast as the night before (still the Mme. Giry understudy), except that Elizabeth de Grazia (the alternate) was playing Christine! I'd have to say that overall, I probably preferred Elizabeth's voice to Sylvia's, but enjoyed Sylvia's interpretation of the role more. But they were both wonderful in both regards!! There wasn't a single person in the cast that you could say was not excellent.

Also, Elizabeth messed up a few lines on the roof scene! :-) Where she was supposed to say, "Raoul, I've been there, to his world of unending night, to a world where the daylight dissolves into darkness, darkness", she instead started with the second verse, going "Raoul, I've seen him, can I ever forget that sight," and I wasn't sure WHAT she was going to do then, and she ended up saying something like, "In the night, where the darkness was all that I saw, that I saw". Interesting improvisation! :-) But luckily, she got back on track shortly after that!!

The second act was wonderful again. Masquerade was especially cool, to see all the costumes and everything so close. I have seen the show from the front row before, but that was over four years ago! There are parts where the performers sing directly into the crowd, and Kevin McGuire, who was playing Andre, looked right at me one time, and I just had the biggest grin on my face, 'cause I was so giddy, and he almost started laughing! :-)

And everytime Doug was anywhere near us, I would just turn to Karen and Gill and grin, and they were doing the same! :-) Let's see...oh, the fire worked this time! That was good. :-) And when Ethan was on the bench during Point of No Return, he was RIGHT in front of us, so I'm sure you can guess how often I looked over at Christine. :-) The final scene was WONDERFUL again, although this time I reverted to my natural instinct, which is to watch Erik the entire time, and ignore Raoul. :-)

Doug LaBrecque with me, Karen, Gill, and Doug the bear! :-)

After the show we spoke with Doug and Kim again, as well as Elizabeth, and then Karen and Gill had to leave. :-( Alex and I waited around and talked to Ethan (Alex was very excited! :-), before he walked me back to the bus station, to go back home!

The quotes:

"Get back up there and grab your bags...you're sitting in the second row."
My greeting to Karen and Gill at intermission.

"Stacy? Could you take a picture for us?"
Gill, apparently asking me for the second time, as I was trying to listen to Doug talk to someone else.

"Could you sign my bear? He just happens to be named Doug too..."
Me, to Doug LaBrecque
