THE 1935 MOVIE
Finally, one I've seen! :-) It's an American film, in black and white. I happened to catch this movie on A&E one night, and it was definitely worth the watch. Frederic March is a great actor and the way he interpreted the role was wonderful.
I had some problems with the interpretation of the story overall...mostly with the way it presented Eponine (she was little more than a footnote), and with the virtual exclusion of Enjolras. I don't understand how anyone could make Marius the student leader after reading the book. He's just not the type. :-) Also, it ends with Javert's suicide, leaving out the wedding and Valjean's death. But overall, it really wasn't too bad.
